Offering a choice of male or female characters,
Jo and David pose as 'serious' guest speakers. The event could
be an industry conference, a team building workshop, a product
launch or even a board meeting. Their presentation, often
supported by overheads or Powerpoint slides commences seriously
gradually becoming more bizarre until the audience realise
they are being hood-winked. Often, the hoax will conclude
with funny material about key people in the room.
Thorough research is conducted before every
Hoax, to ensure the start of the presentation is credible.
It's not unusual for audiences to take notes while Jo and
David are speaking! The pair has been 'experts' in fields
as diverse as:
• Retail Consulting
• Feng Shui
• Human Resource
• Marketing
• Mining
• Entertainment
• Taxation
• Change Management
• IT
• Customer Service
• Law
• Sports Psychology
• Internal communications
• Finance
• Art
• Venture Capital
• Government
• Education
• Training and Development
• Textiles
• Food
• Safety
(We are yet to find an area where we cannot
be believable!)

and 'Vision' statement, or to engage staff in a lively 'conversation'
around their corporate values, Hypotheticals are an effective and

is a performance appraisal, a coaching session, facilitating
a meeting with difficult people, or investigating a safety
incident.

A unique style of corporate comedy where
Laughing Matters will 'infiltrate' your work environment and
wreak havoc. Posing as 'The Weird New Recruit' or 'The Temp
From Hell', Jo and David have been known to give CEO's and
MD's an experience they will never forget!
Jo has even spent a day with Vodafone in
the Hunter Valley, posing as a strange new employee. Her behaviour
was appalling, culminating in lying on the floor of the five
star dinner venue in foetal position with a napkin over her
head.
The Laughing Matters team can also strategically
disrupt functions as 'The Waiters From Hell'. Donning waiting staff
uniforms and mingling with guests, the 'Waiters' happily demonstrate
monumental ineptitude, causing organised chaos at fine dining establishments
such as Max's Restaurant, Riva, the Grand Hyatt and the Park Hyatt
Melbourne.

"As
bumbling
waiters you make great comedians. You were both
so immersed in your roles, as you gradually
commanded
more attention from the guests, who went on to
shake their head and then stare in
disbelief.
Your timing was great. The climax and reveal
were hilarious."
